Alexi’s Garden was built in memory of PRIDE student Alexi Ann Hendricks and is located at the Arc Family Center in Vancouver, WA.
Alexi's gorgeous blue eyes and sweet disposition captured the hearts of many. She had a beautiful smile and engaging giggle. Her favorite things were dancing with mommy and snuggling with daddy and her brother Jordan. Her favorite places to go were music class and PRIDE for Kids where she could share time with her classmates and teachers. Alexi was born with a visual impairment called cortical blindness. She also had a seizure disorder and low muscle tone. With the help of Early Intervention and many talented professionals Alexi continually acquired new skills. She was very proud of all her accomplishments. Alexi’s Garden, inspired by Alexi’s life, is a gift to all the wonderful children at PRIDE. May all who play here experience the joy of learning in this special environment.
